Since its inception, the Fruit Tree Group has forged ahead with determination, organizing fruit tree events and dedicating themselves to letting visitors to Nam Chung know that the fruit trees here are well-behaved, bearing bountiful harvests that nourish people in many ways.
One day, Nam Chung resident Xiao Dou* asked, “What will we leave behind for those who come here in the future?” This question planted the seed for the “Fruit Calendar.”
The Fruit Calendar, also known as “Fruit Chronicles,” seeks to give a voice to Nanchong’s fruit trees. It recounts the experiences shared between the people of Nanchong and the trees, preserving a record of Nanchong’s fruit trees for future generations. It adds a touch of the interesting little stories that once unfolded here to the silent trees, telling them slowly through words and pictures.
